With temperatures reaching 80+ degrees in March, it became a sultry New England event with all the runners experiencing their first heat training of
Preliminary results have been posted here and a more complete race report will follow.
Congratulations to all the participants and a big Trail Animals Yeti howl to Emily, for leading her first-ever race and her incredible team of talented volunteers who made the day easy, fun and exciting for all the runners. Hopefully those of you who were first timers to a trail running even have come to appreciate how great a sport we all have and how low-key, helpful and welcoming the collective trail running community is. We hope you've got the bug and will come back for more – training runs, races and volunteering.
What a great day! Who would have thought you should pack the sunblock for a mid-March race!
Just saw the results. Can anyone tell me what the purple highlights are for?

Jo Ann, The gray/purplish highlights on the miles are to help group the different miles so it is easier to read; the two highlighted bands are for the overall male and female milers. BUT EVERYONE WINS in a 6 hour!
FOR ALL READERS Regarding Results:
Some adjustments/corrections will be made to the final FINAL results that are sent to Ultra SignUP. Including these:
Justin Contois 35 miles in 5:36;
Deb Livingston 33.5 miles in 5:48
Christopher Pulick 31.5 miles in 5:41
I hope to finalize these by next week so we can get the Yeti into his summer scivvies… Now there’s an image.
Belovedly, Your RD for the…6 Hour Spring Thaw, Spring Sweltah, Spring Sneaker Stealer,
Emily Trespas
