Boston Double

The course so nice you run it twice!

Boston Double, Double Boston, Boston Yo Yo. It goes by several names, but the concept is simple.

Every April, when tens of thousand of Boston Marathon participants begin their journey from Hopkinton to Boston, there are several individuals who have already covered the 26.2 miles, and are beginning their return trip back to the finish line.

For them, the finish line was also their starting line, and in the early hours of darkness, they left Boston's Boylston Street to run the 26.2 miles to the start. Upon arriving in Hopkinton, they're ready to "run it back" to Boston for 52.4 miles (or more) on the day.

We are here to celebrate those people.

Those who push the boundaries and embrace the challenge.

Those who put the "ultra" in "ultramarathon."
