Volunteer Opportunities
Trail Animals take care of each other! Whether it's helping an injured runner, pointing someone back on course, or sharing a gel, salt, or snack, we look out for one another on and off the trail! This also means stepping up to volunteer. Volunteers are the backbone of our community, and we have a place for everyone to contribute, from our monthly group runs, Outreach group, TARC Trail Series, and more.
Our nonprofit is entirely volunteer led and driven, and we need your help to make events happen and give participants the experience they deserve! We have roles for everyone, from bib pickup and course directing to aid stations, course sweeping, and more. We encourage you to bring along family and friends to join the fun. Bonus points if you participate in an event and then stick around to volunteer!
No experience? No problem! It can be your first time attending one of our events! If you're not available to volunteer on race day, there are still plenty of ways to get involved and support the event. Need service hours for an upcoming race? We've got you! We also welcome youth groups and teenagers to volunteer, and we can sign off on community service hours for students. Our volunteers can even become "course marshals" and get some trail time themselves. All we ask is you help fill up some water bottles and tell participants they look awesome. Come be part of the TARC magic!

We are always looking for people to get involved with our Outreach group and to help host and lead group runs! Please reach out if you want to join our monthly Outreach calls and/or help with leading group runs (at existing group run locations or somewhere new).
Are you or someone you know interested in getting experience with event management, race production, community building, volunteer recruitment, social media marketing, nonprofit fundraising, grant writing, and much, much more? It would be great to connect!
TARC Internships: We welcome proposals to work with students who are looking for internship opportunities!
